Plant a seed and watch it grow! We are asking you to plant from one seed to thousands of seeds in the form of dollars towards this outstanding community project.

This extensive renovation and building project, which includes an endowment for future generations, will completely change the look and concept of what the Coulee Region has known as the Myrick Park Zoo. The former Hixon Forest Nature Center is now Myrick Hixon EcoPark and operates from a beautiful new building on these grounds. Some exhibits are already installed in the building, and planning is currently underway for additional indoor and outdoor exhibits.

The aging zoo will transform from a place to go and just see animals to a destination with exciting habitat based exhibits of native ecosystems. It will create a new home for "hands on" environmental education, and will be a community jewel for generations to come.

Quillin's Share & Festival Foods Community Dollars Program

Do you shop at Festival Foods or Quillin’s? If the answer is yes, then please continue reading. If the answer is no, then you still may want to continue so that you can spread the word to family and friends. Myrick Hixon EcoPark is now participating in Festival Foods Community Dollars and Quillin’s Share Programs. Festival Foods Community Dollars Program and Quillin’s Share Program benefits non-profit organizations by giving back 1% of qualified sales to non-profit organizations. Here is how it works:

Individuals or organizations that shop at Festival Foods or Quillin’s, receive receipts for every purchase they make. Either drop your Festival Foods or Quillin’s receipts off at the Nature Center or mail them to MHEP. We then turn in your receipts after the end of every calendar quarter, and MHEP will receive 1% of all receipts (not including sales tax, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and lottery tickets). For us to qualify for purchases made during each calendar quarter (January – March, April – June, July – September, and October – December), we must have them no later

than the 5th of the month following quarter end (for example, receipts issued during July - September must be turned into MHEP no later than October 5th).
