Phenology/Sightings

Myrick Hixon EcoPark is home to an incredible variety of wild plants and animals. Many of these leave or hide out during different parts of the year, so it is wonderful when they again make their appearance!

The following animals and plants have been sighted in the Forest, Marsh, and Prairies this year! Many of these first sightings of the year are made by our members and visitors. If you see one or more of our seasonal wild residents (which isn't listed here yet) while in the forest or marsh,  We post these here on this page and on a board at the Ecology Center for all to see!
