The completion of the new EcoCenter building marks a symbolic and successful close to the first phase of the organizations capital fundraising campaign. The group’s current fundraising efforts now focus on improving the experiential and live animal exhibits. This unique indigenous zoo will NOT open until we have finished fundraising! We still need to raise $4 Million Dollars to complete this fantastic project! Donate Now to help us build YOUR New Zoo! One of the featured exhibits will focus on River Otters. Otters are entertaining critters who really know how to play. A group of otters are often called a “romp” because of their playful nature. Otters like to wrestle, chase each other, and enjoy sliding down slippery slopes on their bellies. “They are very social, smart, and active animals”, says Gallagher. "They’re a riot, always seem to be having a good time and enjoying life. Kids and adults alike will love watching them". Watch the slideshow below to see what other exciting animal exhibits are coming. You can even click to donate at the end of the show! Click on here to find out more about our Butterfly Garden! |
