Welcome to the EcoPark Center!
When you walk into the building, you will be in the Atrium. There are things to do and enjoy for every generation.
See and feel the 26 foot black willow tree column that is actually a support structure. Whole Tree Architects created this new centerpiece of the Atrium as well as the staircase to our new reading loft where you can admire the wonderful marsh and the park from up high. In early spring 2012, you can read a book from the new EcoPark library!
Stop by before your hike in Hixon Forest or bike ride around the marsh to pick up a trail map. Check out the area’s trails on our three dimensional topography map. If you want to create your own nature tour, rent an EcoPack. For winter fun, rent a pair of snowshoes. Ask our staff at the front desk for information about any EcoPark activity.
Remember to check out the EcoPark gift shop to find the perfect nature-themed gifts for your friends and family.
Enjoy locally processed fair trade coffee, homemade ice cream, healthy sandwiches, salads or other treats offered in partnership with the People’s Food Co-Op.
The EcoPark Center also houses the Meeting Space, the Discovery Room (which is used for a variety of education programs), and the offices of EcoPark Staff.
Much of the EcoPark Center is publically available for rental for celebrations, meetings, and events.
